Nature Greatest Show On Earth-The Serengeti Great Migration, Tanzania one of the most stunning spots in Africa

With its expansive landscapes and formidable animal life, Tanzania is the best safari country in Africa and arguably the best for photographers.

A photo won't capture the thunder of hooves on dirt as more than a million wildebeest and several hundred thousand zebra make their annual migration, but still, this is one for the top of the pile.
The migration is actually a year-round event as the animals move from Tanzania's Ngorongoro in January, up through the Serengeti around June and hit Kenya's Masai Mara around September, before journeying south again.

VISIT TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK,TANZANIA

Tarangire is a popular day trip for those following a standard northern safari itinerary, but its baobab dotted landscape and numerous dry river beds are worth much more time. During the dry season (August to October) Tarangire has one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Tanzania. It's an excellent spot for those who love watching elephants, zebra, giraffe, impala and widlebeest.
Tarangire is a good place to enjoy a walking safaris and an excellent birding destination. Be prepared to swat tsetse flies here, at certain times of the year they can get annoying.
Accommodations in Tarangire include lodges, campsites and luxury tented camps.

Udzungwa Mountains and The Sanje Falls in Tanzania

What happens when a Tourist visits the same touristy destination more than once......how doe she/he feel???What do you think will be in her\his mind???What will he expect??
Udzungwa is described as a "Primate Park" due to the ten species of primate living in it's pristine forests. Four of the species are endemic including the Sanje Crested Mangabey and the Udzungwa Red Colobus (formally Iringa Red Colobus). Quiet hikers are most likely to see the black and white Colobus Monkeys, Udzungwa Red Colobus and Sykes' Monkey. The park is also a favorite amongst bird-watchers, with over 400 recorded species.
Go walking in the Udzungwa Mountains National Park and follow the Sanje trail, up to Sanje waterfall where you can dive into refreshingly cool plunge pools and go for a fantastic swim!
The best a tour operator could do is trying to explore more touristy activities in an area that has been visited more than once by the very same person. As a matter of facts, the interesting things in the touristy destinations can never easily get finished.....you keep exploring and making the days more memorable with full of joy and sparing a story to tell the grand sons and daughters...
Life is made easier.....travelling.....touring.....while managing your office assignments...

JOZANI FOREST ADVENTURE IN ZANZIBAR,TANZANIA

Jozani Forest is an amazing place to visit in Zanzibar. The exceptional venture in it is that allows a man to go for the tour on foot and makes you touch anything and can even shake hands with lovely monkeys.
The tour just started....everyone should get  ready with a camera in hand to make more photos of the year...had a long walk and each corner with an amazing view.
Left behind trying to catch something different from the rest...!
How closer would you want to get???There could be a fly over....Catch one...
The red Colobus monkeys are very friendly and can only be found in the Jozani forest...here they are on the rest....would not like to be disturbed...you had to find other turn so that not to wake them up...Shshshsh!!
An amazing bridge....you could walk and get turned into the cycle...and under the bridge can be seen a little river waters passing and some little fish enjoying the swim.
Lovely walk around the bridge...the history behind the bridge is a great to tell.Long walk.......
This is the  first turn to the right...after the long walk in the forest...with lots to see and each point with incredible view of its own.
Don't jump in the river...there are so many little around and swimming in the style of their own.
Some crabs living here and climbing some little trees to make their own cooling system.
There are down stair cases taking you down the water from up the bridge. The design is very cool...if you decide to have a chat with some water living organisms..the choice being left in your hand....But watch you step...a bit slippery!
After a very long walk and there the forest guide will provide the last briefing so that you can say bye to the park. There is a built round table like the one found in your office.
You can ask so many questions to your forest guide...he can describe a lot and left nothing for the park...!!
The briefing from the forest guide kept going as you get ready to leave the park. It is amazing walk in the Jozani with a lot of  fun plus experiences.
Your group leader will make the final decision...to leave the park.
The vehicles kept waiting for you.....!
Getting into your rides and saying Goodbye to lovey park.
As usual...the group leader had to make sure that no one had left behind. He should be the last one to get into the car.
It is an amazing experience in the Jozani forest

Africa News; Single visa for African countries in the works

COUNTRIES in the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) are preparing to roll out a common visa similar to Schengen in a bid to boost international arrivals.
Speaking on the sidelines of the WTTC Global Summit, Zimbabwe’s minister of tourism and hospitality industry, Walter Mzembi, revealed that this would be on the agenda at the UNWTO 56th Commission Meeting for Africa in Angola this week.
He said: “We continue to have a four per cent market share of global tourism arrivals because we’re a closed continent…(we hope) Africa will wake up to the reality of a double-digit market share by 2020.”
SADC comprises Angola, Botswana, Congo, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe, but it is understood that only five or six countries may be signatories to the visa agreement.
Confirming that South Africa would “definitely be a part of it”, South African Tourism CEO, Thulani Nzima, said: “The common visa for SADC would be used as a test case and eventually be rolled out to the rest of the region.”
He added that this would encourage the development of more multi-country itineraries combining attractions such as Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and Robben Island in South Africa.
Individually, South Africa is already taking steps to woo more tourists. With 12 marketing offices abroad, four more are opening this year in Nigeria, Brazil, Angola and Tanzania. There are also plans to set up two satellite offices in Shanghai and South Korea.
In 2012, the country also launched a National Convention Bureau to attract more business events.

ZEBRAS OF THE SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK & NGORONGORO CRATER,TANZANIA

Zebra family in Serengeti National Park,Tanzania
No animal has a more distinctive coat than the zebra. Each animal's stripes are as unique as fingerprints—no two are exactly alike—although each of the three species has its own general pattern.
Zebra family in the Ngorongoro Crater,Tanzania.
Why do zebras have stripes at all? Scientists aren't sure, but many theories center on their utility as some form of camouflage. The patterns may make it difficult for predators to identify a single animal from a running herd and distort distance at dawn and dusk. Or they may dissuade insects that recognize only large areas of single-colored fur or act as a kind of natural sunscreen. Because of their uniqueness, stripes may also help zebras recognize one another.

TANZANIA AT 50 JK: Here is why we have survived

President Jakaya Kikwete and Zanzibar President Dr Ali Mohamed Shein hold portraits of Founding Fathers Mwalimu Julius Nyerere and Abeid Amaan Karume shortly before the former addressed the nation on the status of the Union at PTA Hall in Dar es Salaam yesterday.(Photo: Tryphone Mweji)
As Tanzania turns fifty today, President Jakaya Kikwete yesterday outlined six reasons why the union between Tanganyika and Zanzibar has endured for five decades since it was formed.
He said the founding fathers had a real feeling about the union, which gave it the right spirit for it to be durable.
They decided to join the two countries as part of the spirit of Pan-Africanism, where at some point, the then Zanzibar President Abeid Karume hosted a regional meeting for a united East Africa.
He said the two leaders were aware of their respective national interests but decided to come together soon after attaining freedom, after intense deliberations. “The decision did not just come all of a sudden as some people think,” he said, noting that had they put self interest first, no union would have come about.

50 YEARS OF ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNION BETWEEN TANGANYIKA AND ZANZIBAR: World leaders pay tribute to Tanzania's 50 years of union

DAR ES SALAAM, April 24 (Xinhua) -- World leaders have started sending congratulatory messages to Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete on the 50th anniversary of the union between Tanganyika and Zanzibar that will be marked on April 26.
A statement issued on Thursday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said messages were received from Pope Francis and leaders of Germany, France, Ireland, India, South Africa, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Algeria, Egypt, South Korea, South Sudan and Benin.
"I pray that you may continue to be guided in your efforts to promote the common good, in solidarity with all the people of Tanzania," said the Roman Pontiff.
German President Joachim Gauck praised President Kikwete for creating a climate of tolerance and the dialogue between religious communities.
"I would like to express my hope that our bilateral and regional relations will continue to flourish in the years to come and that we will work together to adopt economic, political and social development solutions for the mutual benefit of our two countries and for global prosperity," Malawian President Joyce Banda said.

LIVE PHOTOS OF AN AFRICAN BUFFALO BULL SLEEPING INTO THE WATER FROM SERENGETI,TANZANIA

The young males keep their distance from the dominant bull, who is recognizable by the thickness of his horns. During the dry season, males will split from the herd and form bachelor groups. Two types of bachelor herds occur: ones made of males aged four to seven years and those of males 12 years or older. During the wet season, the younger bulls rejoin a herd to mate with the females. They stay with them throughout the season to protect the calves. Some older bulls cease to rejoin the herd, as they can no longer compete with the younger, more aggressive males.
