NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA- WHERE NATURE AND CULTURE CO-EXIST

There can be few places in the world with such spectacular scenery as this vast and varied area. The world famous Ngorongoro Crater is just one large Jewell in a superb setting mountains, forests and plains. Moreover, the beautiful landscapes are the homes of a fantastic wealth of wildlife. Such a combination is rare, but just to make it unique; the area also contains some of the world’s richest archaeological sites. Olduvai Gorge and Laetoli give us fascinating glimpses of our own evolution through the past million years. This may one of the places where we all began.
VISITING NGORONGORO Access is by road or airplane; routes and distances are listed in the Visitor Information section. One can visit at any time of year, although it can be rather muddy in April and May.
