THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA, HONERABLE JAKAYA MRISHO KIKWETE VISITS SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Honorable Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete at the Naabi Hill Gate, Serengeti National Park together with TANAPA Director General, Serengeti Chief Park Warden and other park staffs. Mr. president took his time to talk with other visitors at the gate showing how the president is very charming to all people. It also shows how the president loves and cares our heritage resources and on other hand is the patriotism of the government towards the protection and conservation of the heritage resources of the country.

Tanzania is a beautiful country with beautiful people, culture and nature. It’s something special when the president takes his time to visit our tourist attractions as it motivates and encourages the park staffs to work hard and  responsibly to make sure the available heritage resources is not only for the present but also for the coming generations as the survival of our heritage resources is a matter of grave concern to all of us in Tanzania. It is wise to say that such a visit is an important opportunity to the park by its prominence.
By choosing to visit Serengeti and other tourist attractions in the country the president is supporting a developing country's extraordinary investment in the future. The park feels honored and privileged for the coming of the president Jakaya Kikwete.
The 14,763-square-kilometer park is more than an expanse grazing land on the endless plains. The park is the leading tourist attraction site not only in Tanzania but also in the world, pulling in over 150,000 foreign tourists each year. The Serengeti delivers reliably and without compromise - it has an incredibly high predator density, millions upon millions of other animals dotted about the varied habitats it encompasses...and the unshakable aura of minuscularity  when you stand on those huge, huge plains is a memory you'll never, never lose.
