Nomad on hunt for new owner

Safari company appoints Cavendish to explore options after several buy-out approaches
Nomad, the Tanzanian safari company which offers wealthy celebrities such as Bill Gates and Harrison Ford a chance to get back to nature, is looking for a new owner.
The company, best known for its barefoot luxury camps, has called in London-based corporate advisers Cavendish to explore options for the business after receiving several buy-out approaches. Nomad is likely to fetch a pricetag of around $30m (£18m), it is understood.
High net worth individuals from the US and India, as well as a clutch of rival luxury travel groups, have already expressed an interest. Nomad and its team of conservationists have been running the business for the past 20 years across remote parts of Tanzania and its luxury camp in Greystoke, in the Mahale mountains, has the largest population of chimpanzees in the wild.
A deal is likely to take the form of an exit for certain shareholders who are not involved in running the business day to day, together with additional funding to roll-out the camps and potentially to acquire other operators.
