Mwanza — HOWARD G Foundation donated shs
3.8bn/- to Pasiansi Wildlife Training Institute for capacity building.
Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Mr Lazaro Nyalandu said in
Mwanza City that the ministry plans to extend the cooperation between
Howard G Foundation and government.
"We have to start now to implement the Big Results Now (BRN) in
national resources and tourism," said Nyalandu. He said it is urgent
that the training of game rangers is intensified and Howard G Foundation
has agreed to improve the institute's infrastructure to enable the
Institute offer relevant training to combat poaching across the country.
Mr Howard Buffet an American businessman, former politician, philanthropist, photographer, farmer and conservationist.
He is the elder son of billionaire investor Warren Buffett, said that
the donation will go towards the construction of six dormitories that
will accommodate 300 students who will undertake game ranging courses
and a modern kitchen.
