Bagamoyo marathon to be staged in July

The first Bagamoyo historical marathon is expected to be held on July 22 this year.
The event was officially launched by Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for information, Youth, Culture and Sports on behalf of the minister in March this year.

A 4beli company director Gilbert Herman said the events will also hub athletes to participate in other international marathons.
‘We are providing a capacity building to the talented youths in athletics, and plan to establish a camp for them while underlining discipline and adhere to morals so as to reflect a good image of Tanzania outside the country where they will go to compete’, he said.

The ten kilometer run will also start from Mbaruku Primary School up to Msata road junction. Fun run will end at Mangesani Road and back to Mbaruku.
