LIVE FROM SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK,TANZANIA; More than 3,000 lions call the Serengeti home. You're sure to see them roaming on the plains and lounging on the kopjes that provide excellent views over the savannah.

With several thousand resident lions, the Serengeti National Park is an excellent destination for those wanting to see the big cats in action. The wide open plains in southern and central Serengeti also provide a perfect backdrop for seeing a lion kill in action. When the wildebeest and zebra migration is in full swing here, you have a very good chance of seeing a hunt.
These photos of lions were taken today in the Serengeti National Park,Tanzania

Lion honeymooners.......during a mating bout, a couple may copulate twenty to forty times a day for several days; the ruff of the female is clearly visible.
A pride of lion as seen in Seronera area today in Serengeti Females form the stable social unit in a pride and do not tolerate outside females; membership only changes with the births and deaths of lionesses, although some females do leave and become nomadic.
Lionesses fresh from hunting a wildebeest......looks like one is injured!!! The lioness is the one who does the hunting for the pride. The male lion associated with the pride usually stays and watches its young while waiting for the lionesses to return from the hunt.
