The Tanzania Tourist Board and South African Airways
(SAA) announced exclusive, discounted air fares for travel agents attending Tanzania’s
inaugural of Swahili International Tourism Expo (S!TE) October 1-4, 2014 in Dar es
Salaam.
The fares start at $1,329* (restrictions apply) for Economy class and $6,054* (restrictions
apply) for Premium Business Class. The fares include taxes and are valid for travel
from New York or Washington, DC (Dulles), to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (via Johannesburg).
Other restrictions may apply. The special fares can be booked by calling South African
Airways at (866) 359-7227.
S!TE is Tanzania’s first ever international tourism trade show, developed by Tanzania
Tourist Board in partnership with Pure Grit Project and Exhibition Management, Dar
– es – Salaam; (formerly known as Witch & Wizard Creative). The partnership allows
TTB to work with Pure Grit, the company that manages INDABA Tourism Fair, one of
the largest tourism marketing event on the African calendar and one of the top three
‘must visit’ event of its kind on the global calendar.
The Expo will be held annually in October at the Mlimani City Convention Centre
in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania’s commercial capital located along the coastline of Tanzania,
East Africa. S!TE will focus on inbound and outbound travel to Africa and is expected
to draw hundreds of tourism and travel professionals from all over the world.

The special fare for travel agents is valid for travel from September 23, with travel
being completed by October 11, 2014, and can be booked now up to two weeks in advance
