Precision Air will return to Kigoma with three flights per week by
middle of July, the airline announced yesterday in Dar es Salaam.
Flights will operate out of Mwanza every Monday, Wednesday and Friday,
offering convenient connections both ways to a number of domestic
destinations as well as to Nairobi. The airline also confirmed that from
beginning of August they will increase their flights between Mwanza and
Nairobi to double daily, following sustained demand on the route.
On both routes will Precision Air use their ATR 42 and ATR 72 aircraft, depending on demand.
Only recently has Precision pulled out of Mbeya citing non
availability of fuel which made operations financially difficult as the
extra fuel load which needed to be carried out of Dar es Salaam
restricted the sale of passenger seats due to weight restrictions. Close
rival Fastjet has since then stepped into the gap with more flights to
Mbeya, using their Airbus A319 on the route.
