PRECISION Air is set to resume Kigoma flights
and increase frequencies between Mwanza and Nairobi, the Group Managing
Director and CEO, Ms Sauda Rajab, has announced.
She said in statement issued that the airline would operate three
flights a week to Kigoma and fourteen flights a week to Nairobi from its
mini-hub in Mwanza.
The Kigoma flights begins from July 16, while that of Nairobi will be
from August 1. Precision Air would be flying to Kigoma on Monday,
Wednesday and Friday uplifting passengers from Mwanza Airport, she said.
"We believe the resumption of this route goes hand in hand with the
government efforts to improve the accessibility to the western region so
as to speed up economic development.
"Now through Precision Air, Kigoma is connected to Kilimanjaro, Dar
es Salaam, Mwanza, Nairobi, Dubai, Mumbai and Guangzhou, London, Accra,
Johannesburg and many other major cities within and out of Africa," she
said.
The Mwanza-Nairobi flights have been increased from four to 14 times a
week to serve business trips that link Mwanza and all major cities in
Africa including Nairobi, Johannesburg and Accra, as well as beyond the
continent such as Dubai, Mumbai, Bombay, London and Guangzhou, she said.
"Mwanza is our mini-hub and also is one of the regions with a very
vibrant economic activities such as mining, fishing and tourism. "We
believe reliable air service will speed up the development in the
region.
Business people can now fly from Mwanza to anywhere in the world by
Precision Air," she said. Precision Air is a local owned Airline
operating daily flights to ten domestic and regional destinations from
its main hub Dar es Salaam.
Precision Air is listed on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE).
