Researchers tracking wildebeest in the epic
Serengeti migration have revealed a puzzling and previously undescribed
phenomenon: when wildebeest and zebra encountered habitats with very
good grazing, they move faster instead of enjoying the feast.
But most importantly: their study shows that the need to avoid the
threat of humans has a greater impact on the migration than food or
predators.
