Sustainably managed, tourism can contribute to the conservation of
these areas, by generating revenue for their preservation as well as
raising awareness among both visitors and hosts about their value.

fully harness tourism´s conservation potential at the 2014 IUCN World
Parks Congress (12-19 November, Sydney, Australia), joining other
stakeholders from a wide range of sectors in setting the agenda for protected areas conservation for the decade to come.
