Report from the Southern Tanzania Elephant Project

Well well! In a frankly astonishing development, a second set of elephant TWINS have been spotted in Ruaha National Park, just six weeks since the first record! These new twins were photographed on December 11th by elephant photographer Mike North (of Rise Up For Elephants), about a month after Pacha's young twin sibling died. As the green grass in Mike's photo shows, this second pair were doing well as the rains were coming, providing plenty of food and water for mother during these crucial early months. Let's hope that these two can both make it, and we can watch them grow up. We will be doing all we can to keep them safe...
