On 28 January, the UNWTO Awards will once again honor tourism
initiatives from around the world for their outstanding contributions to
the sector.
This year’s nominees include, among many others, an
initiative seeking to nurture a travel culture among Peruvians, a
Portuguese project where high-tech solutions limits hotel water
consumption and CO2 emissions, and a partnership between NGO's and the
tourism sector in Namibia, bringing benefiting rural communities and
empowering them to manage and benefit from their wildlife.
