Smart Mice Ltd in collaboration with the Kenya Tourism Board, Kenya
Tourism Federation and the Ministry of East African Affairs, Commerce
and Tourism hosted a grand tourism expo starting Wednesday last week at
the Oshwal Centre in Westlands, Nairobi.
The five-day event 'Africa Travel Show' gave people an opportunity to
meet and interact with more than 100 stakeholders in East Africa from
diverse fields of tourism including hotels, resorts and spas, airlines,
travel agents and tour operators.
It was the first of its kind event in Kenya and is now expected to be
an annual event promoting a more modern, dynamic and positive image of
Kenya and presenting a promising platform for new business in travel and
tourism trade.
The event, opened by cabinet secretary Phyllis Kandie, came to a close yesterday.
