Dar es Salaam —
Over 100 representatives from the tourism industry in Tanzania will
participate in the international tourism exhibition, ITB Berlin, in
Germany, beginning March 9.
A press statement
issued by the German Embassy in Dar es Salaam yesterday noted that the
170 organisations and companies from Tanzania include hotels and tour
operators.
ITB Berlin is the world's leading travel trade showcasing 10,000 exhibitors from 185 countries.
According to the
statement the representatives were seen-off yesterday by the German
Ambassador to Tanzania, Amb Egon Kochanke, the Minister for Natural
Resources and Tourism, Prof Jumanne Maghembe and the Hyatt Kilimanjaro
Hotel General Manager, Mr Karl Marshall.
Amb Kochanke whished them success:
"ITB is not only a fair to penetrate the German market, it's the platform for access to the European market at large."
