— The Kilimanjaro Tourism and Industry Fair organization- KILIFAIR
Promotion Ltd and Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB), have agreed on a joint
venture to promote destination Tanzania as its best during KILIFAIR
2016.
KILIFAIR Promotion
Ltd co-directors, Mr Tom Kunkler and Dominic Shoo said here that the two
organizations were optimistic that the event to take place at Ushirika
Grounds (Moshi Co-operative University-MoCU) in June will attract more
than 250 exhibitors.
The directors said
in their communiqué that working with TTB, Tanzania will be well
presented to all East African and international visitors by exhibition
stands and workshops from the public tourist agency. The fair would
provide an opportunity for exhibitors and buyers to see a wide range of
tourism products on offer, he said.
KILIFAIR is
particularly keen to promote the region around Moshi from where much of
the Mount Kilimanjaro climbing is organized. The fair will include three
days of networking and workshops for tourism industry, while there will
feature also African fashion, arts and craftsmanship. Under the motto
'Boosting Tanzania Tourism', Mr Kunkler noted that Coastal Aviation- an
airline has joined as the third airline to support KILIFAIR 2016 with
special fares.
He said exhibitors
and East African visitors are welcome to book flights from Zanzibar or
Dar es Salaam to Moshi and generally Kilimanjaro on KILIFAIR special
rates. Ethiopian Airlines is the officially appointed international
Airlines partner of KILIFAIR 2016.
Mr Kunkler said
that registered and approved agents from all over the world could enjoy
15 percent discount economy or business class from any ET destination in
the world to Kilimanjaro when visiting KILIFAIR 2016. Fastjet is also
sponsoring the event and visitors and exhibitors could travel to and
from Moshi from East African destinations
