Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) and Air Tanzania Company Ltd (ATCL) have
signed a two year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in which the two
institutions have forged partnership in promoting Travel and Tourism in
an event that ATCL inflight magazine was also launched.
Addressing reporters at the MoU signing ceremony held at the TTB head office in Dar es salaam, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TTB Judge (Rtd) Thomas Mihayo noted that Tanzania Tourist Board and Air Tanzania Company Ltd have agreed to cooperate in a number of issues including TTB to carry out special training for ATCL staff including pilots and cabin crew on how to promote and market destination Tanzania to passengers aboard, providing ATCL the opportunity to showcase their services in the tourism shows that TTB will be participating and organizing to mention just a few. “ATCL and TTB are interlinked institutions when it comes to the development of tourism” pointed out Judge Mihayo. He further said that ATCL will include destination Tanzania films in the inflight TV entertainment list.
Earlier in his statement the Chairman of the ATCL Board of Directors Eng. Emmanuel Korosso said that ATCL is fully committed to closely work with TTB in promoting destination Tanzania domestically and internationally since the expansion of fleet gives assurance to them that they will be flying to many international destinations in the near future.
The event was graced by some members of TTB Board of Directors, TTB Management Team and staff as well as senior staff from ATCL.
