TODAY AT LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK,TANZANIA: MALE GIRAFFES FIGHT FOR FEMALE

Always when it comes to establishing the dominance every creature has its own way of showing it. Male Giraffes use their neck in fighting to show their dominance. A male who wins the necking bout have a greater reproductive success.The combatants will spread their legs and swing their necks at each other,attempting to land blows with their ossicones (horns like). This activity can last more than half an hour and it sometimes cause serious injuries.
