Tanzania: Brewer to Award Domestic Tourists With Trips to Selous

NDOVU Special Malt brand users stand a chance to win a trip to Selous Game Reserve through a domestic tourism promotional campaign.
Brand Manager, Pamela Kikuli said in Dar es Salaam that through Ndovu Golden Experience campaign, consumers of the drink will enjoy a paid up trip to Selous as Tanzania Breweries Limited seeks to promote domestic tourism.
"Tourism is a very important part of our country's economy, however a bulk of the tourists are foreigners. Through Ndovu Golden Experience we want to give an opportunity to the people of Tanzania to go out and explore what our country has to offer," Ms Kikula said.
She said the campaign is aimed at ensuring that Ndovu Special Malt clients lead the pack of domestic tourists heading to Selous. The promotion is the second of its kind by TBL which conducted a Ndovu Defenders campaign which started last year.
"This campaign started last year and the winners also went on a trip for two to Selous where they witnessed one of national treasures, elephants in their natural surroundings," said TBL Marketing Manager, Fimbo Butallah.
Located in southern Tanzania, Selous Game Reserve is Africa's largest game reserve and one of the world's largest covering an area of over 54,600 square kilometres.
It has the largest buffalo, hippo, crocodile, lion population with over 450 species of birds. "While at the Selous, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities ranging from walking safaris, boat rides, chimps errands, hot air balloon, riding, diving and kite flying," concluded the TBL statement.
