The Silk Road Ministers’ Meeting attracted 22 Ministers who expressed
their commitment to enhancing route development and visa facilitation.
Together with Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA); UNWTO also ran a session for tour operators on ‘Unlocking the Silk Road's Adventure Travel Potential’.

visit to the Mongolia stand to meet Oyunkhorol Dulamsuren, Minister of
Environment, Green Development and Tourism of Mongolia, as part of the
UNWTO VIP Walk on the Silk Road.
In his speech as the Ministers’ Meeting, Mr. Rifai said, ‘I must
congratulate Mongolia as partner country for ITB this year. It was
fantastic to see a Silk Road country take center stage and the opening
ceremony was a spectacular display of Mongolia’s colourful history, arts
and culture.’
Ms. Dulamsuren said ‘By participating in ITB Berlin 2015, we expect a wide range of opportunities to intensify the development of Mongolian tourism, to demonstrate the world that Mongolia is one of the must-see destinations, to increase the number of travelers coming to Mongolia, to achieve the goal of making the tourism industry a leading economic sector and increase the investment in Mongolian tourism.’
