The Kenya Tourism Board has signed a deal with Malindi and Watamu Tourism Association to improve the sector.
Officials from the board and the association signed the agreement at Ocean Beach, Malindi, on Saturday.
The deal is informed by the high cases of insecurity at the Coast that have affected tourism.
Currently, more than 95 percent of businesses have been taken away by Zanzibar, leading to huge losses.
More than 70 per cent of staff in the hotel industry have lost jobs.
Parties in the agreement resolved to improve services offered by hoteliers, taxis and beach traders.
Other issues include identifying and packaging tourism products for targeted markets.
KTB managing director Mureithi Ndegwa said: "There shall be a linkage
of the association website and applications to the KTB Magical Kenya
Website."
