The Serengeti Visitor's Centre was the best I've visited. The interactive tour was very interesting and our guide answered our many questions enthusiastically and with excellent English. The centre is set in and around a kopje which provides a fascinating and beautiful backdrop for the many informative displays, sculpture, sunbaking lizards and sleepy hyrax. It was great to explore an actual kopje without worrying about meeting a Simba family. Plan to spend at least 1 hour.
